For this reason, some of you might have several similar presentations which only differ from one another by 2-3 slides. If these files are all saved in a common folder, this can lead to some confusion. To keep the data volume at bay, apply this simple but useful tip!<\/p>\n<p>To have a <strong>better overview<\/strong> of your various presentations, the PowerPoint function \u201cCustom Slide Show\u201d can be of immense help. When using this function there is no need for tedious \u201cCopy &amp; Pasting\u201d of single slides form one presentation into the other \u2013 plus you have all your slides nice and neatly ordered in only one file!<\/p>\n<p>In this<strong> tutorial<\/strong> we will show you how to create sub-presentations within your original presentation and guide you through the creation of your own custom designed slide show.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">And This Is How You Do It<\/span><\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>Please open the PowerPoint presentation you would like to use as the original (or basic) presentation. It should include all of the relevant slides which you need for your sub-presentations as well.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1<\/strong>)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Now open the menu tab \u201cSlide Show\u201d. Then click on \u201cCustom Slide Show\u201d and go to \u201cCustom Shows\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>2<\/strong>)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In the new window \u201cCustom Shows\u201c, please choose the button \u201cNew\u201d to create a sub-presentation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>3<\/strong>)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Now please choose all of the slides which you want to have grouped under a new sub-presentation and click on \u201cAdd\u201c. You may also add the slides by double-clicking on each one. In the text field at the top you can choose the name of the new presentation, before you go on by clicking on \u201cOK\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>4<\/strong>)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; To close the window, click on \u201cClose\u201c. If you wish to present the new presentation right away, click on \u201cShow\u201d. If you want to continue creating further sub-presentations, just click on \u201cNew\u201d and start over.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">How to Present a Custom Show Properly<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><strong>1<\/strong>)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; To present a custom show correctly, please open the tab \u201cSlide Show\u201d and go to \u201cSet Up Slide Show\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>2<\/strong>)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In the new window you can choose which presentation you want to use in the menu \u201cShow slides\u201d and \u201cCustom Show\u201d. In the dropdown menu you can now pick the presentation you want to show before clicking \u201cOK\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000; font-size: medium;\">Note<\/span><\/strong>: Do not be confused by the fact that all of the slides are visible in your PowerPoint presentation.
