Each color represents a different category.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Treemaps offer numerous advantages compared to conventional charts:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>They make your presentation visuals unique, piquing the interest of your audience.<\/li>\n<li>They can be used with image backgrounds, allowing you to add flags, product images, logos, buildings, and other relevant graphics.<\/li>\n<li>They make it easier to spot patterns within groupings by categorizing data into color-coded sections.<\/li>\n<li>Branches with top categories are represented by larger rectangles. Smaller rectangles are used for subcategories. This makes even complex hierarchies easy to understand.<\/li>\n<li>In addition, treemaps can show proportions between the different branches. The rectangle size is proportionate to the size of the data displayed. They are especially effective for showing key relationships.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>How to create a treemap<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>1. Select an image background<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-8023 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.presentationload.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/content_1_insertimage_en.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"600\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Under <strong>Insert<\/strong>, click <strong>Pictures<\/strong> and select the desired photo.<\/li>\n<li>Select the image and click <strong>Format<\/strong> under <strong>Picture Tools<\/strong>. Click <strong>Color &gt; Recolor<\/strong> to change the image to your desired color.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>2. You can replace all entries in the table with your own data.<\/li>\n<li>Place the chart over the inserted image.<\/li>\n<li>Adjust the chart\u2019s size to fit the image.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>3.
