Various Ways to Present Your Marketing Mix, Including Extended Models with Five and Seven Pillars, in a Fresh, Modern Design.
Classic and Extended Marketing Mix
The marketing mix was created to convert marketing plans into practical steps, to coordinate individual actions and to distribute the resources of the marketing budget as efficiently as possible.
The four marketing strategies – product, pricing, place and promotion – form the classic 4P’s of the marketing mix. Product and pricing strategies are used to create an ideal price-performance ratio, while place is concerned with customer access and convenience. Promotion includes advertising and all other sales promotion strategies.
Over time, new pillars have been added to the classic pillars of the marketing mix to meet the special requirements of services marketing or to incorporate the new possibilities created by technological progress.
The 5C model (company, context, collaborators, customers and competitors) and 7P model (product, people, pricing, process, place, physical environment and promotion) are the most popular.
