Key Account Management is responsible for contacting partner companies and major customers and for expanding business relationships with them. Key account management controls the care of key customers with high customer value. The Key Account Manager provides intensive support for a company's important customers (key customers).
Key accounts require special treatment due to their key position for the success of the company. Customers who are of great importance for a company, i.e. have a key function, can be characterized by a large order volume, sales or a strategic function. The main goal of key account management is to create a basis for growth in the markets, to develop business relationships with existing customers and to generate new business.
